The General Secretariat for Vocational Education, Training, Lifelong Learning and Youth of the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs in cooperation with the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAFA) is holding a two – day event in the framework of the EYY 2022 entitled “Apprenticeship for adults in Greece.” The event will take place in Athens (The Golden Age Hotel) on 14 & 15 November 2022. It will focus, on the one hand, on introducing the national programme of activities for the European Year of Youth 2022 in the scope of making apprenticeships more attractive for young people, and on the other hand, on the Greek apprenticeship scheme for adults, presenting its reform through the lenses of various stakeholders: the General Secretariat for VETLL and Youth of the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, social partners and VET schools. Topics such as how to make apprenticeships more attractive for apprentices and especially companies will also be addressed during the event. Furthermore, the event will bring together the Greek regional and national apprenticeship coordinators and social partners, and other EU Member State representatives, who will have the opportunity to exchange good practices in increasing the attractiveness of apprenticeship.
The launch of the two-day conference will be addressed by the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Ms. Niki Kerameus and the Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Ms. Zetta Makri, as well as by the Secretary General of Vocational Education, Training, Lifelong Learning and Youth, Mr. Georgios Voutsinos.
